Introduction

Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 3¼ cups (400 g) all-purpose flour, sifted (plus extra for dusting)
  • 7 g (1 packet) instant yeast
  • 4 tbsp (50 g) granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) warm milk
  • ⅓ cup (80 ml) warm water (about 60°C / 140°F)
  • 3 tbsp (45 g) melted butter or margarine

For the Filling:

  • Softened butter or margarine

For the Topping (Optional):

  • Sugar for glazing
