A formal meeting with human resources was arranged soon after.
We remained calm.
There was no need for frustration—only clarity.
We explained the truth.
We were family.
Father and daughter.
A relationship built over a lifetime, not something hidden or inappropriate.
My father even brought family photos—not because we wanted to prove anything, but because we understood that sometimes, people need to see what they didn’t take the time to ask.

The misunderstanding became clear.
The nurse who had raised the concern apologized sincerely, realizing her mistake. Management acknowledged that the situation had been based on incomplete information—not intention.
