Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the Coca-Cola, brown sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice, mustard, and oregano. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Pour the mixture into a small saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly and the sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F). Lightly grease a baking tray with olive oil. Arrange the chicken wings on the tray in a single layer. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Bake the wings slowly in the oven for about 30–40 minutes, allowing them to gradually turn golden brown.
- Remove the tray and pour half of the prepared sauce over the wings. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes, basting occasionally to ensure an even glaze.
- Turn the wings halfway through cooking to ensure they brown evenly and soak up the sauce on all sides.
- If the sauce reduces too much during baking, add a little more prepared sauce to maintain a glossy coating.
- Once the wings are caramelized and fully cooked, remove from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
